New Superintendent of Issaquah School District Speaks at Board Meeting

During the meeting the Issaquah School Board voted to give outgoing Superintendent Ron Thiele a $14,283.00 stipend of Superintendent transition work after his current contract expires on 6/30. The Issaquah School District recently announced massive budget cuts. Thiele’s combined salary in 2021-22 school year was $303,217. The stipend was in the consent agenda that passed 4-0-1 with Dr. Gallinger abstaining.

    Money makes people do things they don’t want to do, like using taxpayer money to enrich public servants AFTER their term is up – because, wouldn’t we all like to be paid for doing our job after we are done doing it?
