Issaquah Community Services Seeking Donations for Rent Assistance
The City of Issaquah has already dedicated $40,000 to Issaquah Community Services (ICS) for it to help with rent payments during the Covid-19 pandemic that has turned the economy upside down. But ICS leaders don’t believe that will be nearly enough and are requesting donations, which go directly to ICS and are 100% tax deductible.
People in the Greater Issaquah area have turned to ICS for 40 years for emergency aid with rent and utilities. ICS depends on volunteers and donations. No staff is paid, so every donation goes to helping meet emerging needs. Payments are never made directly to an individual, but instead to landlords and utility companies. More information about Issaquah Community Services can be found on their website and there is a Go Fund Me page set-up for donations.
