Layna Crofts v. Issaquah School District Hearing Tomorrow
The Issaquah School District will be at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals this Friday, November 19, 2021 for oral arguments in Layna Crofts v. Issaquah School District (Case # 19-35473).
Layna has been a fierce advocate for her children and others with special needs. Having your case heard by the 9th Circuit Court is one step before a hearing with the United States Supreme Court.
The 9th Circuit Court will address this question: When a child has suspected dyslexia, does a school have an obligation under IDEA to evaluate for this particular disorder and craft an IEP specific to dyslexia?
